QUACK: Four-Star OT Josh Conerly Commits to Oregon Ducks
The biggest QUACK of the Dan Lanning era has just taken place Friday evening. That sound you heard was the internet crashing over the commitment of Rainier Beach (Wash.) offensive lineman Josh Conerly Jr.
The 6-foot-5, 283-pounder is the top-ranked player remaining from the 2022 class. Which means Conerly will be in Eugene for this Fall season as a freshman.
Conerly is the No. 40 ranked player in the On3 Consensus Rankings. He is the top-ranked player from the state of Washington and the No. 5 offensive tackle nationally.

Prior to his commitment, USC was considered to be the heavy favorite. Most recruiting services had multiple predictions in favor of the Trojans leading up to his commitment.

Oregon offensive line coach Adrian Klemm and his top assistant, Viane Talamaivao were pivotal in this development. Prior to their arrival at Oregon, the Ducks fell out of contention with Conerly while the head coaching search went underway with Mario Cristobal’s departure.
Even with the shortened timetable, Klemm and Talamaivao were able to get Oregon back in the mix and ultimately land the highly-coveted offensive tackle.
Oregon has now signed 16 high school recruits and 5 transfers as part of the 2022 class. Nebraska DL Jordon Riley and Washington State kicker Andrew Boyle remain committed but unsigned.
