Dowdell visited Oregon in early April. The Ducks made a huge impression on the visit and seemed to put themselves in a great spot to land the four-star.
Here is what Dowdell told our own Jonathan Charles following his Oregon visit.
“I like coach (Carlos) Locklyn,” he said. “Real dude and really want me up there.
“Coach Locklyn wants me to be the next piece to the puzzle. They need a bigger back.”
“I like coach (Dan) Lanning,” he said, “and I see that he wants me up there, too, and start that connection from down south. I am giving them a good look.
Dowdell is commit No. 4 for the Ducks in the 2023 recruiting class. He is the second offensive commit joining wide receiver Jurrion Dickey.
