QUACK: Oregon Football Lands Commitment from Anthony Jones
Signing day didn’t come and go without at least one surprise for Oregon fans.
Long-time Texas commit Anthony Jones has committed and signed with Oregon. The 6-foot-3, 235-pounder committed to Texas back in June. We have mentioned him here and there on ScoopDuck but the interest always seemed to be off and on.
His teammate, and Oregon signee Sir Mells has been committed also since June. He remained silently working on his teammate to join him in Eugene.
Jones projects as a defensive player. His unique size should allow him to move around in Dan Lanning’s defense on the edge or standing up.
The On3 Consensus lists Jones as the No. 562 overall player nationally.
