QUACK: Oregon Football Lands Five-Star QB Dante Moore

It’s always great day to be a Duck. But today is especially great.
The Ducks just secured a commitment from an elite player, an elite quarterback, highly coveted by the heavyweights of college football.
Martin Luther King (Mich.) quarterback Dante Moore committed to Oregon moments ago during a live airing of ESPN Sports Center. The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder committed to Oregon over Notre Dame, Michigan, LSU, Texas A&M and others.
Moore is the nation’s No. 8 ranked player in the On3 Consensus Rankings. He is the nation’s No. 4 quarterback in those same rankings.
With On3 only (roughly) a year old, I’m going to reference a few stats from 247Sports on the size of this commitment. This would be the Ducks’ third highest commitment ever based on his On3 ranking at No. 8. Only Kayvon Thibodeaux (No. 2) and Justin Flowe (No. 6) rank higher.

This would be Oregon’s highest ranked quarterback commitment in program history from that list. Ty Thompson who previously held that title, was No. 40 overall.
Oregon now has 11 verbal commitments in the 2023 recruiting class. Moore is currently its top-ranked commit followed by wide receiver Jurrion Dickey.
Once again ScoopDuck led the charge covering this recruitment culminating in the first Oregon prediction on the network on June 23.
