QUACK: Oregon Lands 5-Star Wide Receiver
There was only one way for Dan Lanning to put a cherry on an already delicious stacked cake. And that was by adding a five-star wide receiver to the 2024 commit list.
Moments ago Burley (Idaho) wide receiver Gatlin Bair committed to Oregon. At one point Bair was committed to Boise State but backed off that pledge following the coaching changes. The real battle then went between Oregon and national champs Michigan.
With yet another coaching change involved, Oregon was fortunate the stability of Dan Lanning won out for the Ducks.
The 6-foot-1, 195-pounder is the No. 30 ranked overall player in the country. Bair is the No. 7 ranked wide receiver in the On3 Industry Rankings. His stock has risen all Spring, Summer, Fall and capped off with a strong performance at the All-American bowl in San Antonio.

Junior Adams meanwhile has been on an absolute heater. In December he flipped Ohio State receiver commit Jeremiah McClellan and USC receiver commit Ryan Pellum on signing day. Additionally adding Evan Stewart via the transfer portal, the No. 1 receiver on the transfer market.
Bair is now Oregon’s 27th commit in the 2024 class. All other 26 have already signed with many of them enrolled.
This addition moves Oregon into the No. 3 spot in the On3 Rankings.
