QUACK: Oregon Lands Four-Star Linebacker Kamar Mothudi
Oregon scored another key defensive commit on Tuesday. This time Los Alamitos (Calif.) linebacker Kamar Mothudi is the newest member of the Ducks 2024 recruiting class.
Mothudi is the No. 246 ranked player in the On3 Industry Rankings. He is the No. 25 ranked linebacker in the country. He joins Dylan Williams in the Ducks linebacker class, who committed to Oregon last week.
The 6-foot-3, 215-pound star picked Oregon over Washington, Utah, Texas and Michigan State.
“I was waking up for a little while thinking Oregon one day, then Michigan State the next,” he told On3’s Chad Simmons. “After thinking about it, going back to the pros and cons I had written down about each school, I made the final decision on Oregon on July 1. There was some real competition, and I liked a lot of the same things about both schools, but I just had a better feeling about Oregon.”
Oregon prioritized Mothudi early in the recruiting cycle. The Ducks were one of his first visits this Spring and one of the schools he visited most in 2023.
