QUACK: Oregon Lands Four-Star SAF Aaron Flowers
Oregon has landed a new class of 2024 commitment, the first since late January. Additionally the first for new safeties and co-DC Chris Hampton.
Forney (Texas) safety Aaron Flowers committed to Oregon moments ago. The 6-foot, 185-pounder committed to the Ducks over USC, Oklahoma and others.
Flowers is the nation’s No. 115 ranked player in the On3 Industry Rankings. He is also the nation’s No. 10 ranked safety. Making him a massive win for the Oregon staff at a key position of need.
He told On3’s Hayes Fawcett why the Ducks were his choice.
“Oregon just felt like a better connection there,” Flowers said. “Just looking at it I saw myself more comfortably at Oregon and more at peace there. It just felt right.”

“My relationship with the staff is amazing,” Flower said. “They’ve been hammering down on me. Coach Lanning sees me as a dude to come there and make a difference. Coach Hampton really sees me making a difference early on and trying to develop me into a NFL talent.”
Oregon now has 6 verbal commits in the 2024 recruiting class. Flowers is only the second commit on the defensive side of the ball however.
The Ducks will have plenty more commitments this cycle. For a condensed list of names to track, take a look at Jhop’s Ultimate 25 list published last week.
