QUACK: Oregon Lands Three-Star Offensive Line Commit
For the second straight day Oregon has landed another offensive line commit to its 2025 class. This time it’s one much closer to the city of Eugene.
Bellevue (Wash.) offensive lineman Demetri Manning has committed to Oregon over Miami, Arkansas, UCLA, Washington and others. The 6-foot-5, 345-pounder is the No. 645 ranked player in the On3 Industry Rankings. While he’s not as highly ranked as many others on Oregon’s board, the Ducks found a fit in Manning and what he brings to the table.
His commitment comes just after his official visit to Oregon. Manning will likely not take any other visits following his decision.
Here is what Manning told our own Max Torres’ about his decision to commit to Oregon.
“I grew up an Oregon fan, I grew up a Duck fan. I was the only Duck fan in the house. For me, it’s like a dream come true. At Oregon you can be yourself. I love the campus, I love all the support they offer. So that’s the reason why I committed to Oregon. Everybody tries to say something negative about Oregon because they don’t have what that college has. Dan Lanning throws out facts. I love Dan Lanning, I love Coach (A’lique) Terry, I love Cav (Mike Cavanaugh). That’s what made me want to commit.”
