Report: Ducks Set to Hire Nebraska Assistant Tony Tuioti
Dan Lanning keeps building out his coaching staff brick by brick. The latest seems to be on the defensive side of the ball once again.
A report from FootballScoop.com has surfaced linking Nebraska assistant Tony Tuioti to Oregon. It would appear Lanning is nearing a deal that would bring Tuioti over from Nebraska as either a defensive line or outside linebacker assistant potentially.
Update, Pete Thamel of YahooSports reports the deal is done.
Although he’s a part of the Nebraska staff currently, Tuioti has ties to the West coast. His coaching career includes stops at Cal and Hawaii among others.
He has served as an assistant with outside linebackers and defensive line.
His Poly background will help this staff continue to recruit Utah and Hawaii among other areas.
