Report: Oregon OL coach Alex Mirabal expected to join Mario Cristobal at Miami
It’s still yet to be seen how many of Oregon’s current coaches will join Mario Cristobal at Miami.
On Tuesday, though, it was reported that one of Cristobal’s most successful assistants will follow the Ducks’ former head coach to the sunshine state.
Oregon offensive line coach Alex Mirabal is expected to join Cristobal at Miami, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reported.
Mirabal was at Cristobal’s introductory press conference Tuesday and Manny Navaro of The Athletic also reported Mirabal will join the ‘Canes new head coach.
Cristobal and Mirabal are best friends who attended high school together in Miami, and there was never much doubt that Mirabal would join him. Mirabal has been an Oregon assistant since 2018 and has been one of the best recruiters in the nation in that time.
