Report: Oregon quarterback Robby Ashford "expected" to enter transfer portal
One of Oregon’s heralded young quarterbacks is reportedly on the move.
Ducks’ freshman Robby Ashford, who also plays on the Oregon baseball team, is expected to enter the transfer portal in the next 24 hours, according to a report from Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports.
Ashford was the No. 23 quarterback and No. 23 overall player in the On3 class of 2020 rankings.
He has yet to play a snap for the Ducks and played a reserve role as an outfielder during the 2021 baseball season.

During Oregon’s preseason camp, Ashford said he intends to play both baseball and football for as long as he is a college athlete and said Mario Cristobal and Oregon baseball coach Mark Wasikowski had developed a plan that enabled him to do both.
If Ashford does indeed leave the program, Oregon will have Bo Nix, Ty Thompson, and Jay Butterfield as its remaining scholarship quarterbacks.
