Report: Oregon Targeting New Mexico's Drew Mehringer as TE Coach

The Ducks keep adding to the coaching roster. With the bulk of the work already done on defense, it was time for Dan Lanning to fill out his offensive staff.

He’s reportedly targeting another youthful coach. Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports is reporting New Mexico’s quarterback coach Drew Mehringer.

Mehringer, age 33, started his coaching career at Rice in 2007. Prior to New Mexico he was at FAU, Texas, Rutgers and Houston. (In reverse order)

He’s worked with nearly every offensive position group other than offensive line.

Rivals.com ranked him as recruiter of the year in 2019.
