Results for former Oregon running back CJ Verdell at NFL Combine
It was a relatively brief day at the NFL Combine for CJ Verdell Friday as the former Oregon running back continues to work his way back from an injury that derailed his 2021 season.
Verdell participated in just two events — the vertical jump and broad jump — in Indianapolis after previously saying he planned to participate in all seven events. There has been no explanation as to why Verdell’s day was cut short.

Last October, Verdell left Oregon’s 31-24 loss at Stanford with a gruesome-looking leg injury that brought an end to his career as a Duck. While meeting with reporters Thursday, he explained that he suffered a fractured left fibula and dislocated ankle.
Verdell will have a chance to work out in front of scouts again at Oregon’s April 1 pro day.
Here is a look at Verdell’s combine results and how they compare to those of his peers. He measured in at 5-foot-8, 194 pounds with 29 1/4″ arms and 9 1/2″ hands.
