ScoopDuck Predictions: Offensive Player of the Game
Bo Nix and the offense will take the field on Saturday in Boulder. It won’t be warm. And the Buffs have nothing to lose which makes them a little bit dangerous.
Now that said, Oregon has a lot of firepower on offense making them a tough match for Colorado. We are expecting to see the Ducks put up big points which should lead to some big stats.
Who will benefit from those stats? Here are our predictions for the offensive side.
Joel Gunderson: Noah Whittington
One thing Kenny Dillingham has done masterfully this season is exploiting a defense’s weakness, and he’ll have plenty of options on Saturday. Colorado is dreadful in many areas, but none more than their run defense.
Take your pick with Oregon’s running backs, but I’m going with Noah Whittington. His breakaway speed is starting to show, and I can see him breaking off one or two long runs to put the game away early. Jordan James should have a major workload in the second half, but Whittington will pop.
Corpatty: Noah Whittington
Colorado is 2nd to last in the FBS in rushing defense giving up over 237 yards rushing per game. I think Noah Whittington is able to break off a couple of long TD runs and eclipses 100 yards rushing for the day. Whittington enjoys his best day as a Duck as the Oregon rushing attack has a huge day against a hapless Colorado run defense.

Jarrid Denney: Noah Whittington
It could be a big day in Boulder for a few different Ducks on Saturday. Colorado has been one of the worst teams in the country when it comes to stopping the run this season, and few teams are running the ball better than Oregon at the moment.
While Bucky Irving might be the obvious candidate, I’ll go with Noah Whittington. He had the most productive day of his Oregon last Saturday and racked up 133 yards of total offense on just 15 touches.
Look for Whittington to stay hot and add another big performance to his resume.
Jhop: Kris Hutson
With no Seven McGee or Chase Cota, I think one of the non-Troy Franklin receivers will show out. And Hutson has had some nice games but I think this is the week he sees his target share up and becomes the forgotten man by the Colorado defense.
Additionally he’s one of the guys that could see additional reps as the 1’s leave the field and the 2’s come on. So I’m counting on him to have a big day. Also I figured it was best if I named someone other than Whittington.
