ScoopDuck Predicts: Two New Recruiting Predictions
Welcome to a Friday edition of some new recruiting predictions. This week I have made two new predictions on key 2023 Oregon targets.
However only one is in favor of the good guys.
July is shaping up to be a big month on the commitment trail for programs around the country. This is a time where high school recruits are working on making college decisions ahead of their senior seasons.

Here are the two picks I logged Friday morning as I mentioned I would be making in the Juice.
Olaus Alinen – Miami
The Canes have done a great job selling Alinen on playing for an offensive line-minded head coach. And Cristobal was able to do that at Oregon as well. Miami also has distance on its side. While Alinen is in the Northeast now, his family is from Finland and will want to come over and visit for games.
At the moment I would say Miami leads all and Alinen could be making a decision sooner than later.
Samu Taumanupepe – Oregon
Almost the forgotten man in recruiting. Largely due to the fact that Taumanupepe doesn’t really do any interviews. But the big fella (6-3, 375) is EXACTLY what Dan Lanning needs in the middle of his defensive line. If Oregon can hang on to Pome’e and add Taumanupepe, not only is that the all-name team, those are two keys for the middle of this defense.
Taumanupepe is set to announce on July 31.
