Our second roundtable of the week is locked and loaded. We take a look now at this Oregon team and who might be a surprise to breakout in Saturday’s game. Of course we know guys like Dillon Gabriel and Jabbar Muhammad will likely produce. But who else could step up to the plate for Oregon?

Here are some predictions from the ScoopDuck crew.

Collin King: Devon Jackson

Devon Jackson saw more playing time each of the last two games for Oregon as they have dealt with injuries, and he has been solid in those games. Against a poor offensive line and poor run game, I would love to see Devon Jackson flying across the field for some big tackles at or behind the line.

Max Torres: Devon Jackson

Jackson is quickly becoming one of my favorite players to watch on this Oregon team. He’s done a great job stepping into a larger role this year and I expect to see him flying around again this week against UCLA. I think he has all the tools to become a first-round NFL Draft pick when it’s all said done. We’re witnessing his breakout year and he should do well against a Bruins team that is sputtering out of the gate.

Linden Hile: Dante Moore

Give me Dante Moore to get game action and look sharp against his former team. I don’t expect this week’s matchup to be especially close (Ducks favored by 24 per DraftKings) and with the Ohio State game fast approaching, I think Oregon’s staff would like to get its starters off the field in a timely manner this weekend.

I think Moore will get his second game of work with more extended run and I can’t imagine he’d take that opportunity lightly. With the depth in Oregon’s receiving corps and pressure on Oregon to climb the rankings with a dominant win, don’t be surprised if they continue to push the ball downfield into the fourth quarter on Saturday.

Jhop: Noah Whittington

For the first few weeks the run game we’ve seen has been primarily Jordan James. But I think this week Oregon will work to get Whittington the necessary touches to get his game back on track as well. I expect Oregon to lean heavy on the run game this weekend knowing they should find success on the ground. With the offensive line coming together I think we’ll see Whittington break off a couple long runs.
