ScoopDuck Roundtable: Opposing Player to Watch vs ASU

The Ducks and Sun Devils get ready to lock up in just a few days. Former Oregon OC Kenny Dillingham gets his chance to go against his former boss. However he’s completely outmatched in nearly every single category.
The Sun Devils have a few offensive pieces to watch out for. Here are our predictions of players to watch for in this one on Saturday in Tempe.
Joel Gunderson: Kenny Dillingham
Try as I might, I just can’t find one player on ASU that Oregon needs to worry about. What makes this game unique is Dillingham, and his knowledge of the Oregon program.
He was only here for one year, but he knows Lanning inside and out, and surely has an idea of what he and Tosh want to do to the Sun Devils’ attack. He knows their tendencies, strengths, and weaknesses.
If Dilly can find some magic and throw Oregon’s defenders off their game, this one has the potential to get weird. If not, Oregon steamrolls their way to Oregon State.

Jarrid Denney: Cameron Skattebo
Throughout this season, Arizona State running back Cameron Skattebo has been one of my favorite Pac-12 players to watch. The 5-foot-10, 222-pound junior is second among all running backs in the conference this season with 46 missed tackles forced. Only Bucky Irving has more. Skattebo has been playing behind a patchwork offensive line all year but has proven that he is an electric playmaker.
Doug Scott: Cameron Skattebo
With ASU missing all their QBs at various points of the season, Coach Dillingham has gotten extremely creative in trying to manufacture effective offense. Much of what has worked has been trickery, gadgets, and other unconventional approaches such as the swinging gate against UCLA.
The centerpiece of all those efforts is the versatile Skattebo, who runs, catches, and throws the ball at various points in the game. With 900 scrimmage yards and 9 TDs to go with 8 pass attempts for 85 yards and a TD, this is a player who needs to be accounted for wherever he is on the field
Jhop: Jaden Rashada
It looks like I have the luck of waiting an extra day to make my submission. And the word out of ASU is Jaden Rashada is back at practice and looking like a go for this weekend. Not an easy first game back for the freshman quarterback. The Sun Devils will need him to shake off any rust and be sharp. He could be an x-factor heading into this one.
