I know tomorrow will be all about the Ducks and Bucks. But there is still an entire slate of college football games on tap and some very good ones at that.

My pick kicks off the weekend starting Friday night with a really fun one down in Tempe, Arizona. Let’s take a look at what other games were excited for.

Linden Hile: Penn State @ USC

With as much attention as will be on Oregon’s, Texas’, and Ole Miss’ games this weekend, I think Penn State visiting USC will be a highly interesting matchup that flies somewhat under the radar. The Trojans have slipped a bit since their impressive week one win over LSU and may be entering caged animal mode at this point in the season.

This sets up as a serious trap game for Penn State where they could be lulled into thinking USC isn’t as dangerous as was previously thought but better teams have been snared by worse opponents in road games (recently!). This is a golden opportunity for the Trojans to flip the narrative on their season and score a win over an undefeated top five opponent.

Collin King: Texas vs Oklahoma

The Red River Rivalry game is always an intriguing game heading into the matchup and I really want to see if Oklahoma can actually pose a threat to Texas or not. Oklahoma has been extremely shaky so far and has been decimated at wideout. The Sooners have also benched QB Jackson Arnold in favor of the young Michael Hawkins Jr, who has shown flashes over his first few games in action. This is a big game for Texas because outside of the win at Michigan, they haven’t played anyone, and their schedule is about to ramp up big time in the SEC.

Max Torres: No. 4 Penn State @ USC

This is a huge game for both teams. The Nittany Lions travel across the country in what on paper is a massive Big Ten showdown. I’ll be keeping an eye on this one because some in Los Angeles are saying USC’s season hangs in the balance right now. Having two losses on your record this early in the season certainly isn’t ideal and there are still tough games on the schedule against Rutgers, Nebraska and Notre Dame. Lincoln Riley and the Trojans need a win here after losing to Minnesota on the road last week.

Jhop: Utah @ ASU (Friday)

We will be tailgating tomorrow so the TV’s will be on. But let’s be honest, we’ll all be drinking and talking about the game. So I’ve got this Friday beauty as my pick. It fits perfectly into the weekend and it’s looking like a good game. It’s currently a 5.5 point spread and ASU is 4-1 under Kenny Dillingham. I’m pulling for Dilly and the Sun Devils to pull off the upset.

Honorable mention: Ole Miss @ LSU (But it’s the same time as the Oregon game)
