It’s Friday which means some of you are probably getting ready for the Oregon home game tomorrow. While you are tailgating or watching at home or at the bar, there will be plenty of other great games on this weekend.

In fact, later today one of the best games of the weekend kicks off. Here are our picks for games we are excited to watch this weekend.

Linden Hile: Notre Dame @ Navy

In what I think should’ve been this week’s installment of ESPN College Gameday, fans will get a tradition-steeped matchup between iconic programs. Navy is undefeated and ranked for the first time in years while Notre Dame has quietly rebounded from a loss to Northern Illinois and improved to 6-1 on the season.

It’s worth noting this could legitimately be the last hurrah for service academies as relevant programs. While Notre Dame may be a 12-point favorite, I still think this game will deliver plenty of fireworks.

Collin King: Boise State @ UNLV

This game likely decides who gets the G5 Playoff bid unless one of them slips up following this matchup. Heisman candidate Ashton Jeanty is a name that the entire country knows now, but the Broncos have an overall very well rounded team. If their pass game was better they would almost be a lock for the playoffs. Then there’s UNLV who had major controversy this season when former starting QB Matthew Sluka decided to redshirt and transfer to not being paid NIL money. It hasn’t mattered for the Rebels who are off to a 6-1 start and a very narrow loss to Syracuse. My belief is that Ashton Jeanty will be too much for this UNLV defense and they do just enough defensively to hold onto a narrow 41-38 win, solidifying themselves as the team winning the G5 playoff bid.

Max Torres: No. 21 Missouri @ No.15 Alabama

Missouri may win up being without quarterback Brady Cook in this game, but the Tigers have really become one of the better coached teams in the SEC under Eliah Drinkwitz. It feels like fans are on the verge of a complete meltdown in Tuscaloosa if the Tide lose their third game before Halloween under Kalen DeBoer. We’ve seen moments this season when “Bama’s still Bama”, but this is easily the most vulnerable they’ve felt in years.

Jhop: Washington @ Indiana

Easy pick here for me and one that has B1G implications. Is Indiana for real? I won’t go so far to say a win over UW would validate that but it’s an interesting game at the very least. Indiana puts its 7-0 record on the line but at home. They will be minus starting quarterback Kurtis Rourke however which does change the dynamic of this game a little. If UW wins, prepare for them to put a banner up at home.
