ScoopDuck Roundtable: Score Predictions vs Idaho
We are just a few days away from the season opener at Autzen stadium. Of course we expect it will be a blowout but we’ll predict it just the same.
Most weeks these will be a little more interesting but we’ll keep tabs of who gets it closest this week.
Here are the score predictions from our ScoopDuck team.
Collin King 63-10 (Oregon)
This is a game that shouldn’t be remotely close, as the FCS team Idaho has lost some key pieces this past offseason, whereas Oregon has only improved. I think that a late touchdown from Idaho will make it look a little bit better than how the game actually went, but it won’t be close. Oregon’s defense is too good to allow any major mishaps here and Oregon handles business starting 1-0.
Linden Hile: 52-3 (Oregon)
This feels like a game where Oregon Football could score just about as many points as it wants.
As tempting as it may be to shoot for a repeat of 2023’s 81-7 drubbing of Portland State, my guess would be that Dan Lanning and his staff will play it a little more conservatively this time around.
I’d expect the Ducks to come out hot but quickly transition to a fairly vanilla gameplan in the hopes of saving their best stuff for bigger games.

I think the offense will strike quickly and build a large lead by halftime then trust the defense to hold down the fort the rest of the way.
Max Torres: 70-10 (Oregon)
I don’t expect Oregon to have any trouble here. The Ducks should run up the score on the Vandals big-time. Even with the team managing some injuries along the offensive line there shouldn’t be much of an issue. Gabriel and two other offensive stars should have a big day at the office and if all goes according to plan we’ll get to see plenty of key snaps for Dante Moore and other players in the two-deep.
Jhop: 67-3 (Oregon)
The problem in a game like this isn’t scoring, it’s slowing down the scoring. Lanning has enough respect for the game he will do his best not to run up the score. But there’s only so much you can do for that. Even with the backups, running the football, Oregon will still find the endzone. Idaho probably scores early but after that the Ducks will tighten up defensively and do their best to keep them out of the endzone. I’m excited to see a lot of bodies on the field Saturday for Oregon.
