ScoopDuck Roundtable: Score Predictions vs Purdue

Happy Wednesday folks. We are at the midway point except with a Friday game, we are kind of past the midway point.
The Ducks take on Purdue Friday night in Indiana and it will be the first true road test for the Ducks. That also comes off the biggest game of the year. A classic trap game.
So now we get to see what this staff is really made of and the culture of this team. Because that will be what keeps this team together and avoiding a slip-up.
With that in mind here are our score predictions ahead of this one.
Collin King: Oregon 59-13
I wrote in my surprise storyline that Ryan Browne could keep this one close but I am now going completely against that after starting my deep dive for this game. Purdue is so incredibly devoid of talent and has several true freshman that will be seeing meaningful playing time this week. Their best cover corner is out for the year for person reasons and a top wideout has been MIA all year.

The Ducks are flying high after a win over Ohio State in Eugene. Now they draw Purdue on a short week and have to travel all the way to Indiana. Oregon’s confidence has to be at an all-time high on both offense and defense, but make no mistake, this isn’t a gimme game. The Boilermakers switching to redshirt freshman Ryan Browne at quarterback not only make them more dangerous, but also more of an unknown after taking a good Illinois team to the wire in overtime. That said, the talent gap is about as wide as you’ll find in the Big Ten and I expect Oregon to show up and take care of business.
Linden Hile: Oregon 41-17
It’s not that I think the Ducks will struggle with Purdue as a team but it wouldn’t surprise me if the game takes a bit to put away or potentially gets closer than it really was towards the end. I personally think fans hoping for some 63-7 domination are getting a little over their skis given the Ducks are coming off a massive, physical game and going on a long road game in a short week.
Jhop: Oregon 44-24
I think Oregon will start out slow in the first drive or two with the road travel and then get humming after that. Purdue gets an early score, maybe a couple of field goals along the way then the rest comes in clean up time. Oregon wins, doesn’t blow the doors off them, but looks comfortable most of the way doing it. Purdue is banged up and Oregon will have the benefit of seeing Ryan Browne on film.
