It’s time to get back on the winning side of things. A return home should be helpful for the Ducks as they host Wazzu. Now Wazzu shouldn’t be taken lightly. They are coming off a bad loss and a team with really nothing to lose. That makes them dangerous.

Still I think most of us have faith in Lanning getting the boys back on track and ready to get back to winning. It’s time for our score predictions.

Jarrid Denney: Oregon 52 Washington State 21

I think Oregon is going to bounce back with an emphatic performance against a Washington State team that has really struggled over the past few weeks. The Cougars have great talent at the skill positions and a few defensive standouts. But their offensive line has been flat-out bad recently, and I’m expecting the Ducks’ defensive front to have a field day.

Corpatty: Oregon 42 Washington St. 17

Ducks start slow in this one, having trouble getting the juice back after the tough loss last week.  As a result, this one is close at halftime.  However, Oregon comes out in the second half and takes control of the game, pulling away and cruising to a comfortable win.

Doug Scott: Oregon 45, Washington State 20

Oregon runs away early with this one, and the backups play out the final quarter while WSU scraps out a score or two late.

Joel Gunderson: Oregon 48, WSU 17

Despite the issues Cam Ward brings (as mentioned by the SD staff on Monday), this comes down to one thing, and one thing only: This isn’t the 2021 frail Oregon team.

Dan Lanning confirmed it all Monday night in his press conference when he referenced Oregon’s GPS stats from practice; across the board, players were putting in more effort than any Monday during the season.

Coach fluff? Perhaps. A sign this is a mature team that knows all their goals are in front of them, and a rematch against UW is in play? More likely.

I expect the Ducks to come out with their hair on fire and completely blitzkrieg a reeling Cougars team, sending them off to the Mountain West in a beatdown.

Jhop: Oregon 54, WSU 13

Oregon is back at home where they have played better this season. They are not a bad road team, they just play better at home. The Ducks will rebound and really want to make a statement here. I know Cam Ward is dangerous but I think Oregon can keep him out of the end zone and once the game is out of hand, Wazzu might be smart to pull him early.

Big Oregon win for Homecoming.
