ScoopDuck RoundTable: Surprise Storyline vs UCLA

We are back in game week after taking the week off. Which means it’s time to kick the roundtables back up.
Our first one is the surprise storyline from this weekends game with UCLA. Who could emerge? What could be a storyline to come from the game? Guess that’s why they still play the games.
Here are our predictions for this weekend vs UCLA.
Max Torres: Multiple sacks for Teitum Tuioti
I wanted to say Oregon is in for a big day as a collective pass rush against UCLA, but why not make it a bit more fun and zero in on Tuioti? He’s not exactly lighting up the stat sheet, but through three games he’s logged 11 total tackles, 2 tackles for loss, a sack, a pass breakup and a QB hurry. He’s flashed at various points in each game thus far and I think drawing a vulnerable Bruins squad could result in his best game yet in 2024.
Linden Hile: Ducks Roll On
As much as some fans think another half of good defensive football needs to be seen to feel comfortable about the team’s performance, I don’t think this is the week to be worried. UCLA has shown very little fight thus far with its lone win being a 16-13 slugfest against Hawai’i in week one.

This isn’t a road environment to fear and the Ducks have an immense advantage in both talent and coaching. I think Oregon rolls this week and wins by at least three touchdowns.
Jhop: Oregon Pounds the Rock
The good news is against Oregon State we saw the Ducks get back on track with the run game. I’m looking for them to take another step forward on that front this week with UCLA. It’s going to be a great chance for Oregon to fine tune some things on offense and defense. But I think establishing the run game will not only be important this week but for the season.
Look for Noah Whittington and Jordan James to both top 100 rush yards.
