Good morning Oregon fans. We are ready to roll out our first roundtable of the week. A very special week indeed. Rivalry week. But for the first time the rivalry game isn’t with Oregon State, it’s with Washington. Whom many identify as the bigger rival for Oregon currently.

It’s going to be an interesting week. Obviously the game but more so with Oregon looking to finish the regular season unbeaten. Duck fans are excited for this one and so am I.

Here is our first roundtable of the week as we predict the surprise storyline for this game.

Linden Hile: Ducks Win Huge

Despite the Huskies being a competent opponent, I think the Ducks come out with a vengeance on Saturday. The team will be two weeks removed from a nail-biter against Wisconsin, fresh off a bye, and likely eager to put forth a better performance.

Adding to this is the recent history between these two teams with the last three meetings being Washington wins by three points each time. I think Oregon comes out fired up and wins in one of its more lopsided game of the year.

Max Torres: Oregon holds Washington without a sack

Keeping Dillon Gabriel completely clean won’t be an easy task as the Huskies have only failed to record a sack in three games this season. But if Marcus Harper is able to return to action that should give the Oregon offensive line a significant boost. Oregon’s offensive line has been battle tested all year and they’ll need another solid showing up front to get back on the right side of the Washington rivalry.

Collin King: Demond Williams makes first start and keeps the game close

Will Rogers definitely hasn’t had the season he envisioned when he announced his transfer to Washington, and while a good amount of that falls on him, another part is on the staff. WIth that being said, I think true freshman QB Demond Williams Jr gives them the best opportunity to win this one. Williams has been impressive in his relief effort games for Will Rogers, when Rogers struggled. I think it’s a very comparable situation to Kentucky’s Quarterback Room issues currently, with Brock Vandagriff and freshman Cutter Boley. With Williams, you are in a situation where you have already clinched bowl eligibility and have your potential future QB. Why not start Williams given his upside?

Jhop: Explosive Plays Return for Oregon

It’s been a couple of less-than-thrilling offensive performances for Oregon. It seems the Ducks have really felt the loss of Tez Johnson from the offense. At Wisconsin, Oregon really struggled offensively. I believe we’ll see Tez back, for how many snaps remains TBD. But the week off and the comforts of being at home will pay dividends for Oregon. And I can’t help but think this isn’t one of those games Lanning secretly has had circled on his calendar ready to unleash the Kraken.
