Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore met with local media on Monday. The first-year head coach talked about facing Oregon and some of the changes on his roster.

Media asked Moore about the similarities of this Oregon team to last years championship Michigan team.

Moore also talked about the game-ending scuffle with Michigan State and the availability of star defensive back Will Johnson.

Some highlights and the video below.

Opening Statement:

“Before we get started just wanted to make a comment about the post-game skirmish. Unacceptable. We’ll address that ourselves internally. That will never happen again.”

On Oregon’s Strengths:

“Start with the quarterback, a guy that has played multiple games. He’s elite. The O-line is really, really good. Personnel wise they’re really good. Their skill guys are twitchy, Evan Stewart, he’s fast. Defensively they play really really good team defense. Coach Lanning has done a great job with scheme, the DC has done a great job. We gotta go prepare.”

On Hosting No. 1 Team:

“I think for us, every game is a big game. We’re just going to approach it like another game. We know how good they are, we just gotta prepare and execute.”

On Starting QB Davis Warren:

“Took care of the football in an elite way. Made the throws he needed to make, some keys third down plays. I think Davis has earned the opportunity and played a really good game and won the spot and we’ll continue to roll how we did last game.”

On Similarities to Last Years Michigan Team:

“I see a really good football team, a complete football team. We gotta execute.”

On Will Johnson’s Availability:

“We’ll see this weekend but for sure this season. We’ll let the doctors handle that.”
