Tez Johnson Talks about the Oregon Win vs Idaho
Oregon receiver Tez Johnson was one of the big returning wins for Dan Lanning this offseason. Johnson brings back a ton of experience and a 1000+ yard season from a year ago.
Despite a sluggish offensive output, Johnson was a key target for Dillon Gabriel against Idaho. He was able to record 12 catches for 81 yards and 2 touchdowns in the season opener.
As you can expect, Johnson was not satisfied with the team’s performance on Saturday despite the win.
On the win:
“Obviously it was good to have a win but we gotta go back on Monday and fix our mistakes. Never going to be mad about a win. But we know that wasn’t up to our standard. We just gotta fix our mistakes.”

On how to Improve:
“We gotta finish in the red zone. Not shooting ourselves in the foot with penalties. Watch the film and take the criticism like a man. Not be upset about it.”
On Connection with Dillon Gabriel:
“We connected really good. I could see in his face he was a little hesitant. But I believe in him, we believe in him.”
