'The guy is just a freak'; Oregon teammates and coaches detail what Jordan Burch brings to Ducks' defense
No Oregon player generated more buzz this spring than senior EDGE Jordan Burch. After a stellar 2021 campaign at South Carolina, the former 5-star signee joined the Ducks via the transfer portal during the offseason and is expected to bolster the program's pass rush in a major way. In 13 games last fall, Burch racked up 3.5 sacks, 7.5 tackles for loss, and deflected three passes. His 29 quarterback hurries were the second-most in the SEC. Alabama star EDGE Will Anderson is the only player in the conference who generated more. During his first spring in Eugene, those within the Oregon program spoke glowingly of the 6-foot-6 junior and the impact he has made along Dan Lanning and Tosh Lupoi's defensive front. During a series of media availabilities throughout March and April, the Ducks' players and coaches detailed their first impressions of Burch and how he might impact Oregon's defense in 2023.
