Oregon has prioritized linebacker in this recruiting class. After some misses in the 2023 cycle, it will be important for the Ducks to hit in 2024.
Additionally Oregon has prioritized the state of Mississippi since its commitment and signing of running back Dante Dowdell in the 2023 cycle. A big part of that was the ties to the state from his dad, Lawrence Hopkins.

Hopkins has Oregon in the mix for another prospect from Mississippi this cycle. Tupelo (Miss.) linebacker Tristan Jernigan announced a top three Tuesday including Oregon, Georgia and Texas A&M.
The 6-foot, 215-pounder is the nationโs No. 596 ranked player in the On3 Industry Rankings.
Ole Miss currently leads the On3 RPM. However the Rebels were not included in his top three.
Jernigan is likely to play inside linebacker in college. A big position of need for Oregon in this cycle. He is expected to visit Oregon later this month for the Spring game.
