Top Five for Elite JUCO DB Sione Laulea
It’s getting down to crunch time for many of the nation’s top recruits around the country. This is no exception for those in the JUCO rankings as well.
College of San Mateo (Calif.) cornerback Sione Laulea appears to have made an important cut to his list. After taking unofficial visits to Miami and Penn State last week, the four-star has named them in his top five. The list also includes Oregon, Oklahoma and USC.

The 6-foot-3, 180-pounder posted the top five on his Instagram page Monday afternoon.
Oregon currently leads the On3 RPM at nearly 84% chance to land the four-star. Penn State also figures to be one of the biggest threats in his recruitment at this time. Laulea has not given a commitment date but it would appear he plans on announcing prior to his upcoming season.
Laulea took his official visit to Oregon in late June. He talked to ScoopDuck about that visit and what stood out.
Oregon: “I didn’t know that much about Oregon at first. This visit really changed my opinion. It felt genuine and I loved the culture up there. I was with coach (Dan) Lanning and coach (Tosh) Lupoi the hole trip. They have a great scheme that fits me. My family loved it and felt like it was a safe environment for me.”
