Transfer Portal QUACK: Ducks Land Elite Defensive Line Transfer
Dan Lanning has managed to make this a massive Friday. The addition of four-star linebacker Nasir Wyatt was welcome news but somehow Lanning has supercharged that news.
Moments ago former Michigan State defensive line transfer Derrick Harmon committed to Oregon.
The 6-foot-5, 350-pounder was the most coveted defensive lineman in the Spring transfer portal window. Harmon was also in the transfer portal this Winter too before electing to stay in East Lansing.
Oregon doesn’t have many holes on its roster but one area most thought could be shored up was the interior of the defensive line. When Harmon re-entered the transfer portal, it seemed like a great fit for the Ducks.

Colorado, USC, Ohio State were in the mix along with a potential return to Michigan State.
Oregon is also set to host highly coveted Alabama safety transfer Peyton Woodyard this weekend. The Ducks are not actively recruiting any other portal transfers currently.
Harmon is now the 12th transfer portal commitment in the 2024 class for the Ducks. (Harmon is a late 2024) Dan Lanning has combined quality with quantity in finding the right pieces to fill needs on this roster.
