A starting Pac-12 receiver with ties to the state of Oregon could potentially be on the move.

Chase Cota, a multi-year starter at UCLA, announced early Monday that he has entered the transfer portal.

Cota has played in all 43 UCLA games over the past four years and started 26 career games for the Bruins. He caught 18 passes for 286 yards and a touchdown last season.

A former 4-star recruit from Medford, Ore., Cota was recruited heavily by Oregon during his prep career at South Medford, with Michael Johnson leading the Ducks’ efforts on that front.

The No. 134 player in the nation for the class of 2018, Cota ultimately chose UCLA over offers from Oregon, Georgia, USC, Alabama, and many others.

Cota is also the son of Duck legend and former NFL defensive back Chad Cota.
