Watch: Bo Nix Discusses Oregon Offense
Earlier on Wednesday Oregon media had a chance to ask Oregon’s quarterback Bo Nix questions. He was asked about the performance against Cal and talk about the new defensive looks.
Nix also talked about some of the red-zone issues and how the Ducks can improve those moving forward.
Oregon heads to Boulder on Saturday to face Colorado. As the heavily-favored ‘progrum,’ Nix talked about how the Ducks remain focused and avoid a possible let down.
Here are the top quotes from his interview along with the full video below.
On RB’s in Passing Game:
“Coach Dillingham loves using the running backs out of the backfield.”
On Red Zone “Stops:”
“All three are unique plays. Next time we’ll just go out there and execute them. It’s more of the details and focus when you get there.”
On Avoiding ‘Let Down’ Games:
“I think it goes into how we practice. Coach Lanning does a good job of getting us out there and ready. As a team we’re just going to continue to do that.”
On Cal Performance:
“If 42 points and 582 yards is considered disappointing. (makes expression) At the end of the day if we want to continue to play complete football we have to correct those mistakes.”
On WR Rotation Minus Cota and McGee:
“Same ones. I think we’ve done a good job of rotating guys this year. Like Troy and Kris who are going to continue to play well. Tight ends and running backs. There’s a lot we throw at defenses they gotta prepare for.”
On Getting New Looks on D:
“Cal came out in really a different defense than they’d shown. Here on out we’re expecting to get more of that. We know we have to prepare for those things. But after a couple drives it’s easier to settle in and get going.”
On Avoiding Slow Start(s):
“Just score when we get into the red zone.”
