Watch: Chase Cota discusses decision to come to Oregon, Ducks' receiver room
Chase Cota knows exactly what he can bring to a football team at this point in his career.
A former high school star in the state of Oregon and a 4-star recruit in the class of 2018, Cota spent four years at UCLA before ultimately deciding he wanted to move on for his final college season. The best place to spend that final year, he decided, was back in his home state.
That is, in large part, due to the conversations he had and connections he forged with Oregon offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham and receivers coach Junior Adams.

Now, as the elder statesman in a Duck receiver room that is stocked with young talent, Cota provides the Ducks with a proven Pac-12 producer. As he settles in during spring ball, he is focused on helping the program however possible.
“I think I’m just like a good, big physical receiver who can go out and run a lot of different, routes, especially being an older guy,” Cota said. “I’m good because I feel like they can move me into the slot or the outside, wherever they see the best fit given the defense we’re going against. I’ve made some plays over the years, so they have some confidence putting me out there.”
