Chase Cota is in the midst of his first preseason with the Oregon Ducks and figures to be an integral part of Kenny Dillingham’s offense in 2022.

The Medford, Ore., native spent four seasons at UCLA before opting to transfer back to his home state for his senior season. Cota has drawn praises from coaches and teammates for his versatility and ability to make plays at X, Z, and A receiver spots.

On Wednesday, Cota met with reporters and discussed the transition to Eugene, where the majority of his reps have come during fall camp, and his chemistry with Oregon’s quarterbacks.

“I’ve always been labeled more as a “Z” receiver,” Cota said. “But this camp, the last few days I’ve probably been playing more “X” and a good mix of “A” too. I feel comfortable in any spot now, which is great.

“I think that just came from experience and many years of doing it.”
