Watch: Dan Lanning discusses Oregon's progress after fifth preseason practice
Preseason practice number five is officially in the books for Oregon.
Tuesday marked the Ducks’ last day in shells. The next time they take the field, they will be in full pads.
“I think what you start to recognize once you get to day five, day six, is who actually has their head buried in the playbook, who’s spending extra time,” Lanning said. “Because it’s hard to play fast if you don’t know what you’re doing. It probably sticks out for the young guys who are putting in the extra time required to be successful; those are the guys who are reaping the benefits right now.”
Lanning highlighted freshman cornerback Khamari Terrell as a newcomer who has done “the little things” well.
