Watch: Justin Flowe discusses fall camp, goals for 2022
Justin Flowe is fully healthy for the first time in nearly a year and preparing to make a major impact for the Oregon Ducks in 2022.
After suffering season-ending injuries each of the past two years, Flowe has been back on the field for the Ducks since the start of fall camp. By all accounts, he has had a great season and is looking more and more like his old self every day.
A former 5-star recruit who is the second-highest ranked signee in program history, Flowe was the No. 1 linebacker in the class of 2020. He tallied 14 tackles and delivered a standout performance last season in Oregon’s Week 1 win over Fresno State but suffered a season-ending foot injury in the process.
Now, he figures to slot in at Mac linebacker in Dan Lanning’s defense and, along with Noah Sewell, form one of the top linebacker duos in the nation. Both Flowe and Sewell have popped up in recent NFL mock drafts as players who could potentially be selected in the first round next spring.
Flowe met with reporters on Wednesday and discussed his injury rehab process, his thoughts on Oregon’s preseason, and how the changes he made to his body during the offseason benefit him.

“It feels so good to be back with my team and to be practicing every day,” Flowe said. “Just to be able to bring my energy and help my team get better every day. It helps me get better just to be around my guys.”
Flowe said that he has been “100% healthy” since the start of fall camp and is taking extra measures to ensure he is on the field for the Ducks for the entire 2022 campaign.
“Just putting more time into it; just going harder,” Flowe said. “I figured out I need to go harder in the rehab part, so I just went harder in that and have been taking it like a pro. Drinking a lot of water. putting a lot of stuff in my body that is good for me, and that helped. A lot.”
