Thibodeaux, Oregon’s former superstar edge rusher, has said time and time again throughout the draft process that he wants to play on the biggest stage. On Thursday, the New York Giants selected him with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, guaranteeing he will get the opportunity to do just that.
‘That’s primetime,” Thibodeaux said, smiling on Wednesday when he was asked what he thinks it would be like to play in New York.
When the big moment arrived on Thursday and Make-A-Wish recipient Sam Prince delivered a heart-warming moment by announcing the Giants’ pick, Thibodeaux erupted with emotion and excitement.
