The ESPN College GameDay crew was up bright and early Saturday morning in Eugene ahead of the No. 10. Oregon Ducks’ showdown with the No. 9 UCLA Bruins.

Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso, and the rest of the GameDay crew were joined long before the sun came up by a raucous crowd of students during their live broadcast from the University of Oregon’s Memorial Quad. They were also joined by this week’s guest-picker — University of Oregon basketball legend and WNBA superstar Sabrina Ionescu.

As is tradition, the crew went through this weekend’s slate of college football games and gave their picks for Week 8.

For their final selection, of course, they made selections for the marquee matchup between the Ducks and the Bruins.

Desmond Howard and Pat McAfee leaned into the hometown crowd and selected the Ducks, while Herbstreit zagged and picked the Bruins.

For Ionescu, there was really only ever going to be one choice.

“Ducks by a million!” she yelled after picking her alma mater.

The moment of truth came during the final selection of the day when it came time for beloved analyst Lee Corso to make his pick. Corso once famously cited the Duck as his favorite mascot in the country and said Autzen Stadium us his favorite place to watch a ball game.

On his first trip to Eugene since 2018, Corso delivered the catchphrase Duck fans had been waiting all morning to hear: “Give me that Duck.”
