For the first time this offseason, Oregon’s fanbase got the chance to watch the program’s quarterback battle unfold in real-time.
Jay Butterfield, Bo Nix, and Ty Thompson all head the opportunity to lead the Ducks’ offense during Saturday’s spring games. All three signal-callers had bright moments, but all three also struggled at times.
Their final stats from Saturday’s scrimmage are as follows:
Bo Nix (yellow team): 8-for-15 with 230 passing yards, three passing touchdowns, and one interception
Ty Thompson (green team): 12-for-27 with 168 passing yards, one passing touchdown, and two interceptions
Jay Butterfield (split time with both teams): 16-for-26 with 213 yards, one passing touchdown, one interception
Afterward, all three quarterbacks met with reporters to discuss their respective performances and their thoughts on the spring game as a whole.
