Dana Altman did not mince words in his final postgame press conference of the season. Altman, the Ducks' typically even-keeled head coach who just concluded his 12th year at the helm of the program, seemed to have plenty he wanted to get off his chest after Saturday's season-ending loss at Texas A&M. If you listen closely and follow the bread crumb trail that Altman left with his public remarks over the past few months, it isn't difficult to unearth why this year was the least successful of his tenure in Eugene. "This isn't rocket science, fellas," Altman said during a lengthy monologue on Saturday. "This is: who's in the gym? Who's putting the work in? You go right down the line — I've never had a good player in 42 years that I've had to ask to come to the gym here. Never. The guys who are there are the guys who play. "If I've gotta beg them to come to the gym, or I've gotta beg them to play hard, we're not gonna accomplish what we need to accomplish."
