Over the past several days, Oregon's coaches and players have said all the right things as they prepare to open the season as heavy favorites against Portland State. There is not a betting line available yet for the Ducks' Week 1 matchup at any reputable sports book, but it's safe to assume Dan Lanning's squad is going to open their season as heavy favorites to notch a decisive victory. Lanning and Oregon's players have spoken highly of Bruce Barnum's Vikings squad, which is coming off a 3-5 finish in Big Sky play last season. But, in a game that will feature a significant gulf in talent between the two teams, simply winning won't be enough for a Ducks' squad that has College Football Playoff ambitions. So, what do Lanning and his staff need to see from their team in order to feel like Saturday was a success?
