Oregon dropped in the national polls following its close-fought loss to Washington — but only slightly.

The Ducks entered the weekend at No. 8 in both the AP Poll and the Coaches Poll. Following Saturday’s 36-33 loss to the Huskies, they dropped to No. 8 in the AP Poll and No. 11 in the Coaches Poll.

In the AP Poll, Oregon received 1,034 points. Meanwhile, Washington jumped two spots to No. 5 and received 1,355 points.

Elsewhere in the Pac-12, Oregon State moved up to No. 12, Utah jumped to No. 14, USC dropped to No. 18, and UCLA dropped to No. 25.

In the Coaches Poll, five Pac-12 teams cracked the top 25, including Oregon. Washington moved up to No. 5, Oregon State jumped to No. 13, Utah surged to No. 14, USC dropped to No. 16, and UCLA dropped to No. 25.

Washington State dropped out of the top 25 after sitting at No. 19 in last week’s poll.

The Ducks will look to get back on track when they host Washington State (4-2, 1-2) in Eugene next Saturday. Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m. PT and the game will air on ABC.

“Well, I think if we take care of business on the rest of our wins, our destiny, we absolutely control our destiny,” Oregon coach Dan Lanning said. “If we win out, then we’re going to put ourselves in a situation to play for exactly what we think we should play for.”
