Over the past decade, the Oregon Ducks have forged a reputation for consistently producing NFL-caliber talent.

Last April, six players from Oregon’s 2022 squad were selected in the 2023 Draft. Cornerback Christian Gonzalez became the fourth Duck in as many years to be selected in the first round when the New England Patriots took him 17th overall.

“Sky is the limit for Christian — whichever team gets Christian is hitting a home run,” Oregon coach Dan Lanning said last spring. “He’s one of the best corners I’ve ever been around, and an even better human. I’m excited for every one of our guys who has an opportunity with this draft.

“There are going to be a lot of great Ducks who get an opportunity to make NFL teams better.”

In addition to Gonzalez, D.J. Johnson, Noah Sewell, Malaesala Aumavae-Laulu, Jordon Riley, and Alex Forsyth were selected over the course of seven rounds.

All six have landed on 53-man rosters ahead of their first professional season.

With the 2023 NFL season kicking off this evening, there are 31 total former Ducks who either earned a 53-man roster spot, landed on a practice squad, or are currently on the physically unable-to-perform list.

Here is a rundown of where each of them is playing to open the year.
