Which Oregon offensive players have the highest NIL valuation?
Oregon’s football roster features no shortage of star power. The Ducks’ past few recruiting cycles have netted the program some incredibly exciting skill position talent, in particular, and it’s easy to imagine Oregon’s players cashing in during the NIL era.
But what exactly is the worth of the Ducks’ top offensive stars?
The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that applies a dollar value to the earning potential of college athletes and high school athletes — you can read more about it here.
While the NIL 100 features just two athletes with Oregon football ties, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t a handful of others with high values.
Here’s a rundown of which Oregon offensive players have the greatest NIL valuation. All values are courtesy of On3.
1. Bo Nix — QB ($491k)
Oregon’s first-year signal-caller hasn’t officially won the Ducks’ starting quarterback job yet, but he is far and away the program’s most valuable offensive player.
Nix emerged as a star early in his career at Auburn and was tabbed as the SEC Freshman of the Year in 2019. That success has carried over in terms of marketing power. With 122k Instagram followers and 30k Twitter followers, Nix is the 46th most valuable college football player in the nation according to On3.
2. T.J. Bass — OL ($266k)
Oregon offensive lineman T.J. Bass proves that you don’t have to be a star skill-position player to generate NIl value.
The Ducks’ senior was one of the top offensive guards in the nation and flashed versatility by shifting to left tackle at times last season. He has just 3.5k total social media followers and is one of the more soft-spoken impact players in the program. But he lets his play do the talking and is widely considered to be a top-10 2023 NFL Draft prospect at his position.

Bass is the 109th most valuable college football player in the nation according to On3.
3. Seven McGee — WR ($59k)
Seven McGee is a cult hero among Oregon fans. He committed to the Ducks very early in his high school career and endeared himself to the program’s fanbase by being an active recruiter of other top players in his class.
As a true freshman in 2021, he made an impact at running back and receiver and figures to be one of Oregon’s breakout stars in 2022 after a sensational spring game.
4. Ty Thompson — QB ($56k)
The highest-rated quarterback recruit to ever sign with Oregon, Thompson is one of the more exciting prospects in program history. He has yet to start a game for the Ducks and will be competing with Nix and Jay Butterfeidl for the starting job this fall.
If becomes Oregon’s QB1, expect Thompson’s value to skyrocket.
5. Dont’e Thornton — WR ($51k)
Count sophomore receiver Dont’e Thornton as another player who could see their NIL value rise rapidly early in the 2022 season. He played sparingly as a true freshman but flashed some really nice moments when given a chance late in the year.
Like McGee, he is a former 4-star recruit with an electric personality who seems destined to have a great career in Eugene.
