Wide Receiver Tez Johnson Declares for the NFL Draft
It comes to the surprise of no one but Oregon wide receiver Tez Johnson officially announced his intent to enter the NFL draft following Oregon’s loss to Ohio State in the Rose bowl.
Johnson was once again Oregon’s leading wide receiver for the second straight season. The former standout from Troy arrived to Oregon with uncertain expectations. He quickly got on track with his adopted brother, quarterback Bo Nix. This season he found similar success with Oregon’s new quarterback Dillon Gabriel.
This season Johnson finished with 898 yards and 10 touchdowns on the season at Oregon. His receiving career totals at Oregon and Troy: 3,889 yards and 28 touchdowns.
It’s unclear exactly where Johnson might end up in the upcoming NFL draft. Johnson is being predicted to be drafted in the mid to late rounds by most NFL draft experts.

Tez Johnson was one of the great finds of this Oregon staff in the transfer portal. Although he was not a highly ranked transfer he became a vital piece of this Oregon offense in his time in Eugene.
Johnson wrote a very heartfelt thank you on his Instagram page thanking friends, family, his coaches, teammates and Autzen stadium and its fans.
