Will Richardson, Eric Williams Jr. won't decide on Oregon futures until after season
Oregon’s Will Richardson and Eric Williams Jr. are both technically seniors but will still have a year of eligibility remaining after this season.
Both players will have the option to return for the 2022-23 campaign because their eligibility clocks were paused during the pandemic last season.
But don’t expect either to decide on their futures anytime soon.
Oregon coach Dana Altman said Wednesday that he hasn’t spoken with either player about the subject yet and that both will decide after this season.
“I’ve had absolutely no talk with them yet about what they want to do,” Altman said. “Eric’s already graduated, so I anticipate he’ll probably move on. Will, I’m sure, will be looking at pro opportunities. If there’s anything there, I’m sure he’ll be gone.

“But to answer the question, I haven’t talked to them about it.”
Richardson is in the midst of a career year. In 27 games this season, he is averaging 15.2 points per game and 3.4 assists while shooting .415 on a career-high 135 three-point attempts.
Williams Jr. is in his second year with the Ducks after transferring from Duquesne before the 2019 season. In 26.5 minutes per game this year, he is averaging 7.7 points and five rebounds while serving as Oregon’s sixth man.
“We’ve got three weeks, at least, in the season left,” Altman said. “Hopefully more. We’ll talk about those things after the season’s over. But I just want them to go and play as hard as they can and finish this year. Then, whatever they chose to do, they’re here. We don’t want any of our players to leave.
“But whatever happens happens. We want what’s best for them.”
