Despite the lack of news or headlines, the Penn State Nittany Lions Football team is hard at work right now, preparing for the upcoming season. The team must accomplish lots of work between now and the start of the 2025 fall campaign for a national championship. Some of that work will be accomplished through effort and dedication and some will happen by luck or providence. On today’s show, we’re counting down the top five things that can happen this offseason that would make an ideal run-up to the fall.

Reporter Greg Pickel joins the show to discuss the latest Penn Sate football news, including the team’s max testing day and the interview with strength coach Chuck Losey coming up on Thursday before the team disperses for Spring Break. Join us at 10 a.m. on YouTube to catch the show live and participate in the live chat! If you can’t check the show out live, you can watch the replay on our YouTube Channel, embedded in this article, or anywhere you get your podcasts.

Now’s a great time to subscribe to Blue White Illustrated and get access to premium content and intel. The spring will be a busy time in recruiting and BWI is the place to get intel about the team’s progress behind the scenes.

Penn State max testing day tomorrow

While it’s not truly the max testing day because of the truncated winter workout period, Penn State opens the doors of the Lasch weight room to the media for the annual heavy squat day. As always, BWI will be on hand to observe the team’s lift and get feedback from Losey on the team’s progress since the end of the postseason.

We’ll preview the event, discuss what we want to see and learn about the team. Of course, we’ll provide you with updates on social media and on the site during and after the event.

Top Five Best-Case Scenarios for offseason

The bulk of today’s show focuses on the upcoming checklist of things that Penn State must accomplish to have the best possible team it can in the fall.
