Penn State “Passing Game Purgatory”

Baure said in his initial takeaways from the Blue-White Game that we are in “passing game purgatory” after a windy and blustery day, which made it difficult to pass the football during the scrimmage. What should Penn State fans take from quarterbacks Drew Allar and Beau Pribula’s sub-50 % completion effort? We’ll break down the nuances of Saturday’s performance.

The Penn State receivers were already under a microscope with the news about KeAndre Lambert-Smith entering the transfer portal late last week. Wide receiver Trey Wallace was the team’s top target in the Blue-White Game, but how did the unit perform overall? We’re also discussing the team’s passing performance from the receiver standpoint on today’s show.

Who else stood out?

But it wasn’t just the passing game that was an interesting focus for our experts. We’ll discuss the defensive standouts and which players caught their attention during the Penn State scrimmage. What did the group think of Quinton Martin’s performance? What about transfer cornerback A.J. Harris? We’ll pull players from both sides of the football to examine their individual performances. Of course, the day wouldn’t be complete without a discussion of linebacker Abdul Carter and his debut as a defensive end.

Finally, the dominoes regarding the transfer portal are about to fall in the coming days. Firstly, we’ll discuss Penn State’s scholarship limit and how NIL plays a new dynamic in what it has to do versus what might happen with player movement. Join the show today to get your thoughts on air! We’ll be discussing comments in the live chat throughout the show!
