Penn State climbs in the College Football Playoff Rankings
The Nittany Lions got a good draw this week in the College Football Playoff rankings. Penn State rose to the number four slot after several ranked teams lost last weekend in conference play. What does that mean for the team’s chances in the playoffs? Reporter Greg Pickel will give the lay of the land in the second week of the rankings, and we’ll discuss the future opportunities for the Nittany Lions.
Next, we’ll take our eyes off the horizon and focus on today. Penn State opens Wednesday’s practice to the media for our weekly view of the team’s work. What are we looking for this week, and what do we want to learn from Penn State head coach James Franklin after practice? We’ll preview tonight’s action.

Snap counts
One of the notable trends this year is that for a team ranked in the top five of the college football world, Penn State does not have many blowout wins. Yes, they’ve won several games by multiple scores, but the team has yet to put away lesser talent early. While we won’t get into all of the reasons why, we will discuss the impact of those longer games on the defensive roster.
Who has played too many snaps this year and, thus, needs a break? We’ll discuss the two-year snap count comparison from the 2023 season to the 2024 season to find out.
Penn State vs Purdue preview and Breaking News

Lastly, we’ll discuss breaking news that landed before the show.
