Penn State Class of 2024 commits dominated the Elite 11 regional in State College on Sunday, and Blue White Illustrated was there to see the action. Today on the BWI Live Recruiting Show, Sean Fitz, Ryan Snyder, and Thomas Frank Carr discuss what they observed at the State College High School football field when the Elite 11 Regional passing camp came to Happy Valley.

The trio will discuss recent quarterback commit Ethan Grunkemeyer‘s weekend, which included his verbal commitment to the program and an Elite 11 finals ticket that he punched by winning the camp on Sunday. They’ll also discuss their thoughts on Penn State tight end commit Luke Reynold’s MVP performance at the camp and his invite to California later this summer. The trio will also discuss other players and passers that stood out during the event.

Penn State commits stand out in camp

The weekend’s top story is Grunkemeyer, who is quickly becoming a name to know for the summer recruiting of 2024. Just over a month ago, the Ohio native earned a Penn State offer, which he accepted, committing to the program on Saturday. So now he’s off to the Elite 11 finals in California in mid-June.

The group will discuss what they saw of Grunkemeyer and what he did to earn the top billing from the camp. T-Frank followed Penn State’s newest quarterback around the camp and has highlights to share with fans during the show. See for yourself how well Penn State offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich’s most recent pupil performed this weekend.

Next, the group will discuss what they learned about Reynolds during his workout with the receivers on Sunday. The former high school quarterback is switching full-time to tight end this summer and stood out with great route running and hands. So does Penn State have another star tight end from New England on its hands?

Finally, the trio will discuss the other quarterbacks and players from the day. There were several 2025 quarterbacks that Fitz and Snyder followed throughout the day. Hear what they have to say about Malik Washington and Blake Hebert.

Big Board Reset

It wasn’t just quarterbacks and Elite 11 camp reactions that made headlines this weekend. In today’s installment of Read and React, Fitz shares some takeaways from his Penn State recruiting Big Board which he shared Friday afternoon. The Nittany Lions need to fill the second half of its 2024 class this summer, and Fitz has the positional reset and names to know. He’ll share some tidbits on the show.

Lastly, the group will discuss a recent offer from the program in the segment #BeyondBlessed. Class of 2026 offensive lineman Tyler Merrill received an offer from the program this week and was on hand at the All-22 portion of the camp Sunday. T-Frank got an up-close look at the young players’ skills and will share them with the group.
